Market Campaign Highlights- “Together for a Better Tomorrow”
With funding from P4G under the project Resilient & Green-Based Business for Inclusive Access to Healthy Diets, we—Solar Village Ethiopia, Oxfam, and 8 dynamic women & youth-led SMEs—successfully launched weekly market campaigns over the past 9 months!
Location: Melka Nono Sub-city, Ashewa Meda areaThese campaigns were designed to:
Promote eco-friendly products like:Vermicompost
Organic seedlings
Organic vegetables grown with solar-powered irrigation
Solar water pumps and water-efficient tech
Increase public awareness on sustainable agriculture & climate-smart practices Showcase green innovations supported by Solar Village Ethiopia Generate direct income for participating SMEs through on-site sales Build strong producer–consumer linkages in urban and peri-urban areas
Impact Highlights:Community members engaged directly with SME producers through demos & info-sharing
Increased understanding and adoption of sustainable farming
SMEs earned income while validating real market demand for green products
